Artist Mini Grant

One of our missions as a non profit organization is to encourage and foster the growth and interrelationships of member artists and our community. In doing so, we initiated the Artists Incentive Grants program in 2023.

The establishment of the AAW grant program has been a great success. We have assisted numerous artists ranging from drawing and painting through filmmaking, writing, poetry and dance. All of the artists were able to conduct classes or workshops for the public with the assistance of the grants. 

AAW will continue to award these grants annually. The grants are up to $500 each. Proposals will be accepted from January through May 15th for work to be done in that calendar year. Last year's winners are not eligible to apply. We will announce the recipients at our June gala.

Member artists of all disciplines and levels may apply. Students are eligible.

These grants may be used in conjunction with local arts and community organizations for greater exposure, involvement and public outreach. Artists can use the funds for classes, demonstrations, exhibits, studio materials and supplies, performances or workshops made available for the general public.

 

Applicant requirements:

• Provide information to AAW describing the expected purpose, benefits and impact for the individual artist and the intended community.

• Provide a detailed written report/account with documentation of how and what the funds will be used for. Funds are to be used by December 31, 2025.

• Make a live presentation at an upcoming AAW event.

• Agree to use funds for the stated purpose in the application.
